Author Branding Photos + Book Signing Case Study
Client Spotlight: Pamela Davis
When Pamela Davis booked her VIP Day, she wasn’t just preparing to launch a book she was stepping into a new era of purpose, visibility, and impact. I’ve been knowing Pam for quite a while and let me just say she’s always on a mission. She is a mover and shaker.
Pam is an author, speaker, and the founder of Queen of Resilience, a nonprofit focused on helping women build resilience in every area of their lives. Her debut book, Resilience Found Me: A Memoir of Anxiety, Grief & Passing The Crown, is a bold invitation for women to heal, grow, and take ownership of their identity. But this was more than a book launch it was a deeply personal milestone tied to her mission of mental health awareness and mentorship.
The Heart Behind the Brand
Pam’s organization works to increase mental health literacy, especially among college students and women in underserved communities. Through education, mentorship, and professional development, Queen of Resilience empowers women to live balanced, intentional lives equipped not only to strengthen their own mental well-being but also to uplift others around them. She leads from lived experience and with the data to back it: one in four college students live with a diagnosable mental illness, and most mental health conditions begin by age 14 but go untreated for years. Pamela is working to shift that narrative.
A VIP Day That Set the Tone
To support her launch, Pamela booked my VIP Day Mini, a limited-time package that included unlimited branding photos, videos, and a 1:1 content strategy session. She wanted visuals that aligned with her voice and vision. She wanted something bold, confident, and rooted in resilence. We planned every detail with intention. Styled by Yoro and with makeup by Tara from Blush on the BLVD, Pamela arrived ready to own the moment. Through our strategy session, we mapped out exactly how her content could support the launch across platforms and continue to work for her long after release day.
The results weren’t just beautiful they were strategic. Pamela walked away with a strong, cohesive visual brand and content that supported both her book and her nonprofit. She didn’t just look the part she felt it.
An Event Made Possible by Community
Months later, Pamela returned to book my Event Coverage Package for her book signing celebration, which took place at Harris-Stowe State University. With three hours of photo coverage, we captured the energy, emotion, and intentionality of the entire event. The space was full of love and purpose. Pamela’s book signing celebration was more than a milestone it was a collective effort made possible by an extraordinary team of creatives, professionals, and community members who poured their talents into every detail of the day. Held at Harris-Stowe State University, the event radiated intention, excellence, and heart from beginning to end.
The atmosphere was set with elegant decor by Ammie Leachman and a custom backdrop by Jai Luster of Dose of Elegance. Derrick Richard brought the energy as both musician and DJ, while Tierre Banks managed the day-of production and publicity with poise and professionalism. Denise Merritt coordinated the flow of the event, ensuring every piece came together seamlessly.
Kira Lajune served as the emcee, guiding the program with warmth and charisma, while Precious Whitener moderated with grace and depth. The event opened with a powerful prayer from Jessica Rae Bryant and featured moving performances, including violin by Rosalind Denise Rogers, vocals by Michaela E. Howard, and background singers Terri Bee and Nicole Guidance. Danielle Hicks delivered a beautiful liturgical dance that added a spiritual richness to the celebration.
Guests were treated to a curated graze table by Lynn Johnson, gourmet popcorn from Jasmine Lewis of The Popcorn Professor, and cupcakes from Nichol Gordon of The Cake Snob. Throughout it all, engagement host Jas Thomas kept the energy high and the audience connected.
Every single person involved played a vital role in creating an environment that celebrated not just a book, but a mission—one rooted in resilience, healing, and purpose. It was a true reflection of what can happen when a community comes together in support of something meaningful.
Purposeful Branding That Supports Real Impact
This was more than a party. It was a moment of reflection, gratitude, and vision. It was also a powerful reminder of something Pamela and I both deeply believe in: the importance of having a team to help bring your vision to life. From styling and makeup to strategy, photography, and support on the ground, every part of her experience was made stronger because it wasn’t built alone. When creatives are supported, they can show up fully in their purpose.
Pamela's branding journey is a perfect example of what can happen when visuals, messaging, and mission align. She didn’t just show up for a shoot or plan a party—she invested in herself, her impact, and her legacy.
Today, her brand reflects exactly who she is: a visionary, a change-maker, and a leader building something bigger than herself.
